Community organisations are encouraged to apply from now until the end of the month to be the major beneficiary for the annual Botanic to Bridge FunD Run, presented by Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC).
Now in its fifth year, the Botanic to Bridge has contributed over $80,000 to community organisations across the Gladstone region.
Chief Executive Officer, Craig Doyle said GPC is honoured to deliver the popular event, which is renowned for making positive contributions to the local community.
“Botanic to Bridge has assisted five vital community organisations over the course of its lifetime and this has had significant impact not only on these groups, but also on the communities in which they operate,” Mr Doyle said.
“I urge local organisations to submit an application for this year’s event to secure funding of up to $20,000 for their key projects and initiatives.”
The 2013 beneficiary, Exodus Tutorial Centre received $20,000 to purchase materials required for their literacy program for primary school students, which in turn will provide life-long skills for the teachers and students of Exodus.
Funds raised from Botanic to Bridge are returned to the community, directed to either the major beneficiary or to local schools to make a positive difference to the lives of others across our region.
Beneficiary applications close at 5pm on Monday 30 June 2014.
