Be prepared for this year’s Botanic to Bridge
Home Be prepared for this year’s Botanic to Bridge
There are only five weeks to go until thousands of locals and visitors gather at the starting line for the 2014 Botanic to Bridge.
Helping entrants get to the starting line and through the 3km or 8km courses to the finish line, is Yaralla Fitness Centre.
“The Botanic to Bridge is for everyone, whether you want to walk or run, are fit or if this is your first fitness event, it’s a great way to get out there and get active,” Yaralla Fitness Centre Manager, Julie Withoos said.
“How individuals prepare will differ depending upon their levels of fitness and goals. Runners participating in the 8km event will now be lengthening their course and working on speed, whereas walkers will start to add a walk into their weekly routine or an extra five minutes to their morning walk.
"There are so many benefits to being active and the Botanic to Bridge is a great way to start.”
Yaralla Fitness Centre offers a variety of group fitness classes and personal training for those looking to up the ante with their training.
Practicing what they preach, the Yaralla Fitness Centre team have registered and are well into their own preparations for the big day.
“Our team will be participating again this year. We love the event and are always up for a challenge,” Julie said.
“Our competitive side will be on show as we go up against the other Yaralla departments in our in-house competition. We are all looking forward to what is a great day out.”
