Home Date is set for 6th annual Botanic to Bridge FunD Run
Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC), together with its event partners, is pleased to announce that the 6th annual Botanic to Bridge event will be held on Sunday 16th August 2015.
Over the past five years, Gladstone’s favourite FunD Run has invested over $200,000 into the Gladstone region, distributed via a major community beneficiary, and primary and secondary schools across the region.
Local community organisations are now invited to apply to be the major beneficiary for the 2015 event and secure funding of up to $20,000 for key projects and initiatives.
Local support centre, the Gladstone Community Hub experienced first-hand how Botanic to Bridge funding can contribute to enhancing services and facilities for members of our community.
After being successfully selected as the 2014 Botanic to Bridge beneficiary, the Hub received a donation of $20,000, which was raised through participant registration fees from last year’s event.
The funding was used by the purpose-built community facility to ensure that the Hub can continue to provide activities and workshops to all community members, now and into the future at no or minimal cost.
You can also support your community by simply registering to run, walk, jog or wheel your way to the finish line on Sunday 16th August, with registrations for the 3km and 8km events to open soon via the Botanic to Bridge website.
Visit our Major Beneficiary page for further information or contact Gladstone Ports Corporation on 1800 243 GPC.
Beneficiary applications close at 5:00pm on Friday, 19th June 2015.
