All registrations fees are invested back in to the region through local schools and a community beneficiary.
The community event also provides a great opportunity for community organisations to access substantial funding through the B2B Community Beneficiary process. Applications will close on 19th June, and can be accessed through the Botanic to Bridge website.
GPC Chief Executive Officer, Craig Doyle said the event is not only a great way to spend an active day out with the family, it is also an opportunity to show your support for the local community.
“Over the past five years, Botanic to Bridge has donated over $200,000 to community groups and local schools in the Gladstone region to assist with education, health and wellbeing programs and initiatives.
“The event provides significant financial support to important community organisations and I encourage these groups to take advantage of this unique opportunity and submit a beneficiary application for this year’s event,” Mr Doyle said.
In 2014, the Gladstone Community Hub received a $20,000 donation, which used by the purpose-built community facility to ensure that the Hub can continue to provide activities and workshops to all community members, now and into the future at no or minimal cost.
