Santos GLNG’s biggest Botanic to Bridge team ever is warmed up and ready to go ahead of Gladstone’s leading fun run and healthy living expo this weekend.
At least 215 keen employees, along with their families and friends, have joined the Santos GLNG team and are all set for Sunday’s race – a massive increase on last year’s group of 126.
Among the runners will be Santos GLNG’s General Manager Downstream Operations, Brenton Hawtin, and his family, who moved to Gladstone just after last year’s event and are excited about taking part in their first ever Botanic to Bridge.
Mr Hawtin said he had heard fantastic things about the event and was looking forward to being a part of the team for this year’s race.
“We’re proud to support Botanic to Bridge for the fifth time and enter our biggest Santos GLNG team ever,” Mr Hawtin said.
“It’s a great fit for our business, given our strong focus on health, safety and fitness, and I’m pleased to be joining so many enthusiastic colleagues at the community fundraising event on Sunday.
“Santos GLNG is here for the long-term and our employees are always keen to get involved and support events like this in our great community.
“It’s not too late to register, so we encourage everyone to come along and join us.”
The Botanic to Bridge and Healthy living Expo will be held on Sunday 17 August at the Gladstone Marina Parklands.
