Shuttle buses ease Botanic to Bridge traffic woes

Home . Shuttle buses ease Botanic to Bridge traffic woes

With thousands of people registered to take to the start line of the Botanic to Bridge on Sunday 17th August, things could potentially get a little hectic.

Between trying to find a park and getting to the start line, not to mention getting back to your car after having just pounded kilometres of pavement, you would be forgiven for thinking it is one for the ‘too hard’ basket.

However, B2B participants need not worry about a thing, with Buslink providing a free shuttle bus service for registered entrants.

“Seven buses will be operating before and after the event between CQUniversity, the Toondoon Botanic Gardens and Reg Tanna Memorial Park,” Buslink Gladstone Branch Manager, Iain Hayes said.

“Buslink are very pleased to be able to support  Botanic to Bridge by providing the free shuttle service. Our participation in the event reduces traffic flow by providing a convenient transport solution to all participants.”

Buses will be running every 15 minutes from CQU, the Showgrounds and the Tondoon Botanic Gardens.

Participants are asked to be on time to ensure they don’t miss the starting gun.
